Looking for New Faces for 2014!

JDRF Central Florida invites the child in your life to apply to serve as a spokesperson for our 2014 Walk to Cure Diabetes. JDRF is looking for 3 Walk Ambassadors to represent each of our three Central Florida Walk destinations (Orlando, Brevard and Volusia). The role of the Walk Spokesperson is to assist JDRF in educating the community about what it is like living with type 1 diabetes (TID). Each will be trained to effectively communicate JDRF’s mission, to find a cure for T1D and its complications through the support of research.

The Walk Spokesperson program gives JDRF the ability to make our message distinctive, memorable and meaningful.

After all, finding a cure for you is what we are all about. We have found the most effective messengers to share the story of TID are the young people who are living with this every day. Last year, our Walk Ambassadors found the program to be easy and fun. They learned a great deal and found new friendships with each other. If the child in your life is interested in representing JDRF as a 2014 Walk Spokesperson, please contact Courtney at 407-774-2166 or email cleffew@jdrf.org with any questions. We look forward to working with you in our quest to find a cure!
