What is JDRF’s School Program?
The JDRF School Program is a fun, educational way for you or your child’s school to become more involved in helping JDRF find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
What does it involve?
After setting up a date, our Kids Walk Coordinator will come to your child’s school and talk to the children about type 1 diabetes, including the symptoms of T1D, warning signs of hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia, and the importance of making healthy choices. JDRF will then challenge the students to help us fund money for crucial T1D research! Two weeks later the students will celebrate their fundraising success with their own Walk to Cure Diabetes and prizes for different fundraising levels.
What if I have a different fundraising idea?
Our School Program is completely customizable! Have a sneaker sale,
collect loose coins — the choice is yours! Let us help you set it up!
